Aloha friends, it's Cobi! For this Veggietorial
I'm making a velvety vegan holiday nut nog. This recipe is from Natasha Kyssa's cookbook,
The Simply Raw Kitchen. It's filled with plant-powered, gluten-free
recipes that are simple to make And are totally delicious.
I was really impressed by the gorgeous photos and variety of smoothies, soups, salads and
drool worthy desserts. But let's get started with the nog.
Start with an almond mylk base Soak chia seeds for 4 hours, then add the
chia gel to the blender Add coconut oil
Cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, turmeric 2 frozen bananas
Using frozen fruit instead of ice keeps the flavors from being diluted
Add a pinch of Himalyan salt, then blend until creamy.
If you're not going to serve this right away, blend all the ingredients except for the bananas,as
they will oxidize and start to brown. Refrigerate the mix until ready to serve, then add the
bananas and blend again right before serving.
Garnish with nutmeg and enjoy!
I'm always looking for healthy,no-bake desserts and I can already tell that this book is going
to be my new resource for sweet inspiration. The Simply Raw Kitchen would be a great gift
for plant-based foodies or anyone looking for easy ways to incorporate more fruits and
vegetables into their diet.
I'll leave the link where you can purchase The Simply Raw Kitchen in the info box.
