This is Shawanda with YouHaveMoreThanYouThink.org. We’re here today with another quick tip
Tuesday and today I wanna talk about something that is good for your money and good for the
earth and that’s water. So over the last few weeks, I’ve been trying to be more mindful
about the amount of water I use. So whenever I brush my teeth or wash my hair or wash dishes;
whatever it is, I turn the water on at full blast; just full speed; I let the water rip
and use up a bunch of water. If I can remember, I’ll turn the water off while I’m finishing
upthe task but I don't always remember because I turn the water up at full speed, I’m using
a lot of water unnecessarily. So the way that we can save money in this area and also the
earth’s resources is to just be mindful. This is really easy and I almost hate to say
it but you’re probably not been paying attention the same way I haven’t been paying attention
as so instead of turning the faucet all the way on or all the way up, just turn it a little
bit on; a little bit up and you use far less water. A little really does go a long way.
If you have a hard time breaking the habit or if you have other people in your household
who don’t care about saving money, particularly children who aren’t really gonna be cognizant
of how much of the water they are really using, you can adjust the water pressure so that
you use less water and less water comes out of the faucet when you turn it on. So even
if you turn it all the way up at full speed, the water pressure will be low and less water
will come out of the faucet and you will save that way. So I can’t tell you how to do
that but I’m pretty sure there’s another person on YouTube who can. I know my mom has
been doing it for years where the water is literally trickling out of the faucet. Don’t
do that. So anyway, that’s the quick tip for today. This is Shawanda withYouHaveMoreThanYouThink.org.
Thanks for watching, bye.
