This is Mike here with a simple setup:
A desktop vise
holding two servos that provide hemispherical rotation.
A pencil for demonstration.
An Arduino Uno.
My custom shield.
Lithium Ion Battery Pack.
and the Memsic dual axis accelerometer.
I wrote a simple program to match the tilt position of the accelerometer with the servos.
It was at first quite jumpy, so I set a minimum change before movement, allowing for still
pointing.
Switching the battery pack on...
As you can see it tracks the movement fairly well.
High speed movements are not followed well
due to the slower cheap servos.
It's a fun little test of the accelerometer.
