Hi, this is Melisa Brown and we are talking about Thai Massage. Now we are going to start
working on the lower back. There is two ways that we can do this. I am putting the knees,
shoulder width apart from each other and I am putting the feet together and I am going
to sit on the feet. This is going to be my chair. I am going to lean forward with my
butterfly hands and I am going to lean in. I’m pushing basically towards the head and
then alternating on the way back down. Now with both of my thumbs, I am going to be leaning
in on each side of the spine and leaning in and pressing, leaning in and pressing. I don’t
like to use the thumbs very much but this is one of those parts where you want to give
it all you got. Your clients might really appreciate or your partner might really appreciate
you going in deeper or lighter so you have to have a good rapport whoever is on the mat.
It might be a little bit too much. If this is not comfortable or feasible for you to
do it, sitting on the feet, you could also do it on bended knee. You would be using the
same way, same technique. You are leaning in, leaning in, leaning in, alternating on
