Dry Body Brushing the number one thing you can do for your health.
Our overall health and wellness are dependent on
healthy skin. This
top layer of skin is dead. Aaaah, putrid,
acidic, problematic.
Problems include
acne, cellulite, swollen ankles, ingrown hairs, bumpy, patchy, rashy skin. This
dead layer
is blocking and clogging our pores. Inhibiting them from detoxifying and sweating. We must sweat
Sweat
is one more way that we get rid of the funk. When we remove the dead layer, when
we exfoliate our skin,
we reveal a living layer
youthful
vibrant layer,
How do we exfoliate? With this.
Your new
dry brush. When you start dry brushing
your skin daily, your skin will look and feel so great you will become a life-long committed
dry brusher
you will feel so invigorated from dry brushing you'll tell everyone you know about it.
When we dry brush we improve all systems -
circulatory, lymphatic, hormonal, digestive, excretory, immune. When this living layer
of skin is revealed,
we absorb
the moisturizers.
We nourish through the skin, it's no different than eating.
Don't put anything on your skin
that you wouldn't eat. No junk. You know what junk is, keep it away from me . Don't just glop any old gunk on you skin,
bargain basement
lotions.
Use organic vegetable oils - avocado oil, sunflower, coconut.
Everyone should dry brush, exfoliate, every age, all the time, never too late, every morning. The only warning - if you have any
cuts, abrasions, or blisters - DON'T dry brush that area. Sensitive or fair skin that sunburns
easily
or reddens on touch - don;t use a dry brush, use a soft
washcloth. Clear
bright skin gives us
confidence and
mental ease. Those are important
We start at the feet.
Moving in circles
and circles is a great way to dry brush - i've been doing this for twenty
five years
and you want to get every part of the leg.
And we're going to do both legs, of course I am just demonstrating one.
If you have an area -
the ankles are swollen -
spend more time there.
If you've got cellulite, spend some extra time there. Of course you won't be in a swimsuit.
Our colon moves up on the right, transverses across and down on the left -
so dry brush in that direction. And
too
when you move to your back
follow that same direction of the colon.
You can see my skin is turning red as the circulation increases.
And do both arms, I'm just doing one here.
and particularly you wanna get underneath the arm.
That upper arm area can be an area that has decreased
circulation.
Some gentle strokes up the neck. And there we go - Dry Brush.
Yes, I dry body brush
every morning
before my shower. Once you've done it
for a while, you're going to
be able to do it in 3 to 5 minutes.
After I dry body brush,
before my shower,
I take traditional Ayurvedic.

When we have beautiful skin, it's a sign
of overall good health
and vitality and wellness.
How do we get beautiful glowing skin?
There are three steps that i follow and that' I've followed for decades.
First up -
dry body brushing

That;s our first step.
That's going to remove the dead dull skin cells and allow our skin to regenerate and also to absorb
the moisture. We are only going to use
100% organic
cold pressed
oils. So this is sesame oil, and this is great to use in the winter,
or the cold months.
For summer coconut oil is great.
Sunflower oil is great all year round. The last step - we are not just going to mindlessly put
the oil on our skin, we are going to be inspired by the abhyanga massage of ayurveda.
To massage the oil nto our skin.
With a loving,
caring, nurturing quality.
This massage not only beautifies the skin -
It helps detoxify,
it pacifies the nervous system.
It increases vitality. It promotes restful sleep at night. it also allows
for lymphatic drainage as well as increased blood circulation, I keep all of my cold pressed
oils in the refrigerator. But I keep a small
amount in a container in the bathroom. We're just going to run this under a hot tap
and it's going to warm the oil. Massage
Abhyanga.
let's get started.
Warming the oil in you hands
rub it into the crown of the head. It doesn't have to be a lot of oil but just pressing
and massaging at the crown.
And then rubbing along the bones of the face
deep into the skin.
But feeling that you're pressing through the skin to the muscle
and to the bone.
We're doing these long
firm strokes.
When we're on a joint - like the shoulder - we do circular motions
and on the bones, we do
long straight
firm motions.
Circles on the elbow.
Circle through the wrist. And then
pulling on
all the fingers.
And working on
the other shoulder and
long firm strokes.
Really pressing
and massaging deep moisture
and deeply relaxing,
deeply supportive.
And drawing out the fingers. And this is going to look a lot like dry body brushing.
Sp we're going to
move through the stomach
around the intestines, in the direction of the movement
of the colon
and we're going to rub into the back
into the bones to the hips.
And then circles on the joints, the hip joints, and straight and
firm all around the legs.
and circles on the knees.
Which feels
great.
And then through
the legs. Continue on the legs and always end with the feet.

you're going to leave the oil on your skin for ten minutes before your
hot shower. And you're not going to wash it off.
You're just going to rinse and it will moisturize throughout the day. And during
that time you can do your other morning rituals like nauli.

a half glass of water.
Then you're going to put a little lid on this
and put it aside in the
morning
to drink that night.
Make another one at night
and put it aside to drink the next morning. What you're going to find after this sits all day, the triphala
has dropped to the bottom
and we have this
cloudy
3 fruit filled water on top.
We're going to drink
the water off the top of the powder.
We're not going to drink the powder.
And you'll thank you for that.
So you're just going to drink this.
