Hello and welcome to this Tips and Tricks video for ZoomText 10.
In today’s video we’re going to show you how to use the new Read from Pointer command
for Appreader. Normally when you launch AppReader from the
web, either via the hotkey, ALT+SHIFT+A, or the toolbar button, it will jump to the top
left of whatever you’re viewing. Most of the time, that’s not where you wanted
it to start reading, so you’d need to scroll around to find the place where you wanted
it to actually begin and left click to start reading.
Luckily, in ZoomText 10, we’ve given you the ability to start AppReader a little easier
with a new command called Read From Pointer. Instead of using ALT+SHIFT+A to launch AppReader,
simply hold down the ALT and SHIFT keys, and left click your mouse on where you want to
start AppReader reading. Notice how AppReader didn’t jump to the
top of the page, but instead started exactly where I clicked my mouse. This handy shortcut
will save you loads of time! Thanks for watching, and be sure to check
our blog for more tips and tricks videos in the future!
