This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how to
animate a wipe effect. So now I will show you a practical use of the motion parameters
and we will just kind of create a nice little white. To do this we are going to utilize
crop and edge feather. It is as simple as that so just kind of go ahead and pick a point
on your image and then go to crop. Now if depending on where you want to wipe in from,
you can use the left or right crop of parameters. If you notice my image over here on the canvas,
I moved it to the left side of the canvas; just kind of moved it to the left side because
I wanted to go from left to right. I wanted to wipe on to the right; moving in a rightwards
motion so what I am going to do is go ahead and move the right crop. You see it moves
the right side. It moves all the way over. Go ahead and set a key frame at the point
for the right crop and go ahead now and move a little in forward and set another key frame
and move that crop all the way down to 0 now. So basically what is happening is it just
wiping it on with crop. Now it is a little harsh so let's go ahead and put a little feather
to it. Just put your edge feather all the way up. You don't need a key frame that. Now
it will just put a nice feather edge. So let me show you what it looks like all together.
I went ahead and just put some text next with that fades in. So this would be a nice practical
use for you. See that looks really nice. Want to watch it again. Yeah, that looks really good. It's just a
nice little, kind of sweeps it on and has your name next to it.
