Good morning, this is Luke Robinson and I will be presenting todays weather briefing
for the potential for our first significant artic winter storm.
This graphic depicts the timing for what we think at this time for when the artic front will impact different regions.
Along with snow, we will also be getting very gusty winds, that have the potential to bring
down trees, create occasional white out conditions, and produce very dangerous conditions on area
lakes. Here is a graphic showing total snow amounts
that we expect for western Montana and central idaho.
Strong NNE winds sustained of 30mph and higher
with
gust approaching 50mph will create very choppy waters reaching up to 6 feet. This could damage
boats and docks Once the front passes cold air will spill
over the region, this is what we are expecting for highs on Monday across the region.
