There's a lot of hurt, a lot of loneliness, broken lives.
I've seen the way people have been living and the needs that are there.
We've been without food, they've brought food to us.
There's somebody to talk to, somebody to tell your problems
and they're there to listen and help you and support you in whatever way they can.
Our work is to come alongside people and show them that God loves them.
Over the next year our Inside Out campaign will show how Church Army Evangelists are making their dwelling place
in communities right across the UK and Ireland.
This is long-term work, it's hard work, and what we're seeing is one by one lives being transformed
and communities being transformed from the inside out.
Most of the work that we do is out in that community, in homes, in pubs, in the school, out on the allotment.
The focus of our work is about meeting people in the community where they are, not expecting them to come to us.
Yeah, I don't go to church or anything, but the Church Army around this area are quite a positive, good set of people.
They have been here for me in the past.
Always can have a laugh with them over fence.
I see Neil and Richard every day of the week and I see them talking to the community and I think they do a very good job.
Well, we get to do loads of fun stuff and learn more about God and that.
I like coming to Jaffa because we do loads of artwork.
And you get lots of fun games as well.
We seek to help people practically, whether it's giving a hand to someone with their gardening or with furniture
or carpets for their home. But also with things like parenting skills or helping people to manage their budgets;
there is a huge amount of debt here on the estate.
We do that because God cares and wants to see their lives changed for good.
We go into the community where people are, we go to the butchers, we go to the local shops
we have our own children, we bring them up in the same schools and we're accessible and available at every point.
Well it's the only time I come out on a Friday.
I think the most important thing about having a group like this is just to get people out of their four walls.
Well, it's something to look forward to when you can't get out, you know, like you used to get out.
It brings the old people together.
I didn't have a faith before I started to come here, you see.
We've been on the go 21 years, so we're doing something right.
We can do what we do here in the community because of the support of Church Army.
Because of all those who give financially, and all those who pray for Church Army.
They give us what we need to do the work on the streets
and I love it and I don't think I could ask for anything better, really.
We are Church Army and our Evangelists work in communities across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
We want to share the gospel and see lives transformed from the inside out.
We are supported by people who love community and want to see lives changed and we need your help.
Please join us in prayer or donate to us financially by calling us on 0300 123 2113, or email info@churcharmy.org.uk.
They're just such a loving and God-sent bunch, and I know that they're just bringing God's love.
