>> Willard: I'm Willard Brooks, Jr. with Missile Defense MDA.
I'm a Logistics Engineer Specialist, better known as a 'Loggie'.
MDA's on the cutting edge of missile defense.
That is our goal and one of our missions:
to provide top-notch, state-of-the-art technology
in missile defense for the warfighter.
I enjoy it.
To me, any task that you do, small or large,
from, you know, running copies to talking to the General
or Colonel and giving your input
on a mission, everything is important.
They foster technology within the organization
to help you on your job.
Me, a person with a disability, they do everything
to make sure that my working environment is open
and allows me to be able to work with no obstacles
and no barriers so I can, you know, best perform my missions.
They have several different programs and agencies
that help foster the growth of the MDA employees.
The Career Development Program was a very good start for me.
You're not limited to your area. There are different sites,
there's sites up in the D.C. area, there's Colorado Springs,
there's Alaska. And you get a chance, you know, to jump on that
and experience the different bases, the different locations
and different functions outside of your area as well as inside.
I love the work there. It's challenging.
With the ever-changing environment with the threats
to the United States, it gives me the pride of knowing
that things that I do mean a lot to the nation.
