Michael Cummings here at SKLZ Athletes' Performance in San Diego, California. This is the Athletes'
Lounge. A lot of times after working out, we need to do some recovery work. We need
to strengthen those tissues, roll out the lactic acid, again, for tissue quality and
to make sure that I'm 100 percent the next time I want to work out. And one of the ways
I'm going to do this is with this brand new product by SKLZ called the AccuRoller. The
AccuRoller is a six-ball configuration on straps. You can grab these two larger balls
here and roll out working muscles, tired muscles.
You can do this pre-exercise or post-exercise and what you're doing is finding those trigger
points and then sticking with it, much like a foam roller or a barrel roller. The idea
is circulation, rolling out tight muscles by holding onto these. The cool thing about
it is, with the straps, I can get into my neck. I can actually get into my low back
and drive through from side to side, again, TFL, down the IT band and then the balls,
you can unscrew the tops and they pop off. And this becomes a trigger ball for arches.
Foot has three major arches and you can pinpoint each one of those, which is great.
Or, one of the things I like, is if you change this configuration and put the two large balls
in the middle, and these on the outside, you have a product similar to the one we sell
called the AccuPoint, where then, this can either target the arch again of your feet,
or different parts of the quad, or that looks like my spine could fit perfectly right through
there so when I lay down and do my T spine roll, with some overhead movement, it can
fit right in there.
While I'm down on the ground, one of the nice things with these straps is that I'm able
to do some hamstring mobility exercises, right? Some piriformis and glute and IT band stretches.
Turn it around for quad, hip flexor. So a number of different exercises you can do using
the straps and by changing that ball configuration. Awesome new device by SKLZ.
