-Another very interesting and unique facet
of the accessory after the fact law in the state of Nevada
is that it does not apply to a spouse, sibling, parent,
grandparent, or grandchild.
For example, I had a case in Reno,
where my client was charged with the commission of ***.
And it was also alleged that his sister had participated
in facilitating his escape, and also in disposing of the body.
In that case, the sister testified against my client
and she could not be prosecuted as an accessory after the fact,
even though she admitted that she helped my client
to get away and assisted him in disposing of the remains.
Under the law in Nevada, she could not
be prosecuted as an accessory after the fact.
