World famous, American, legendary shooter Tom Knapp has died from the cause of lung cancer in April 26, 2013 and he was 62.
In memory of Tom Knapp, I'd like to translate his one of these educational videos
Hi everybody its Tom Knapp
This week I've got a shot that gives a lot of people a little trouble out in a field and on the target range also
You might see this particular shot on station eight on the skeet field
When that bird flushes out in front of you and comes at you and goes right over the top of your head it could present a problem
Especially for the shooters who choose to aim with one eye
If you close your non-aiming eye
I'm a right handed shooter
If I pick up the gun and put it up towards the target is coming at me as the target comes towards me
I have to cover the target with the sight in order to get that proper forward lead
The minute you go beyond that bird the bird disappears under the barrel
If I were close my non-aiming eye I would be totally blind that view from that target
Keep both eyes open
My eyes don't work independently from each other
however by keeping my left eye open, I can see the bird under the barrel
My aiming-eye is looking down the sighting platform
Once the bird disappears below the barrel I can judged the proper amount of forward lead and pull the trigger
That puts the bird in my bag and It will for you too
I'm Tom Knapp for Benelli's American Safari and remember think safety first and then have a good hunt
