The ANGIE installer is very simple to use.
We begin with the required settings.
As you can see, it's all green and ready to go.
If you see any warnings – orange labels –
in the recommended settings section you can ignore them,
or ask your host to help you set up the correct settings.
At the bottom of the page you can see information
about the site you backed up and the one you are restoring to.
If this information doesn't match
there's a possibility of your restored site not working properly, or at all.
We can now click the Next button at the top of the page.
If you are restoring on top of the same site,
the database connection information is pre-filled for you.
As I am restoring this site to a new server,
I have to enter the database connection details I got from my web host.
Select the database connection type.
Usually it's MySQLi, with the "i" at the end.
Enter the server hostname, which is usually localhost,
but that may depend on your hosting.
The enter your DATABASE username and password.
And finally the database name you want to install your web site on.
Again this is something that your host will have provided you
or you will have set up yourself within your host's control panel.
On the right hand side and further below the page
there are other options which you shouldn't normally need to touch.
So let's just click Next and let the database restoration begin.
The Restoration progress of the database has now been processed
and we can click the green button to continue.
We have now have the opportunity, if we wish,
to change the site name, email address and so on.
Most likely, when you are restoring a site, you won't need to do this.
We do, however, recommend selecting the checkbox
to override the temp and log paths on your site.
If we scroll down, there is also the opportunity to change the password
and email address of the Super Administrator.
Finally click Next again.
The site's configuration has all been set up now
and what we need to do is close this window
to go back to the Akeeba Kickstart program and click on Clean Up.
If you have not been using Kickstart,
click on the red button to have ANGIE perform the cleanup itself.
Thank you for watching!
