>>Wade: Alright, everybody. I'm with Paul
here. We're still at ATIA. This is ModularHose.com
and you guys have a lot of people standing around
your booth, learning about this cool new stuff that
you've got. So talk to me about it a little bit, would you?
>>Paul: Well this is a modular tubing system called
Loc-Line. It's a ball and socket design so it pops apart
and snaps together. It's very versatile. As you can see
here, there's a lot of different configurations that you can
put it in. It's great for mounting touch switches or
holding small electronic devices.
>>Wade: Uh huh.
>>Paul: It's rigid enough that you can put it in any
configuration and it will stay there, but it's gentle
enough that if you hit it, it's going to move
out of the way. So it's not going to hurt somebody
if they would bump into it too hard. It won't do any
damage.
>>Wade: Excellent.
>>Paul: There's a lot of variety for mounting applications,
so you can mount it to chairs, you can mount it to beds,
you can mount it to desktops. So it's very versatile, it's very
inexpensive, and it's a great solution for a lot of different
AT applications.
>>Wade: And you've got a lot of examples here on the table.
Can you kind of describe to me what you are doing
with the iPad here, with some of these trays?
>>Paul: Yeah, absolutely. This is actually just some of the
Loc-Line...
>>Wade: Cool!
>>Paul:...that we've coiled together just to make a little
temporary mount for it. We actually are coming out with a kit
that actually will hold an iPad.
>>Wade: Uh huh.
>>Paul: Some of these kits are...we have clamps that you can
buy individually, so you can clamp this to a desk, a bed, a chair,
and use the other clamp as a supporting device, kind of a third
arm. We do have these mounting plates that just snap
right into place. You can throw a little Velcro circle
on there and mount a touch switch, a small electronic device.
So there's a really wide variety of ways you can use the product,
and really adapt it to any configuration that you need.
>>Wade: Excellent. Paul, this is kind of cool stuff and
I'm a gadgety guy, so I like seeing this simple, but incredibly useful
kind of thing going on. If somebody wants to learn more
how do they get a hold of you?
>>Paul: Just go to www.ModularHose.com, that's our website.
You can see all of the products, you can buy any of them
individually or we have pre-configured kits specifically for
the assistive technology field.
>>Wade: Uh huh.
>>Paul: So it makes it very easy to buy it. It's very inexpensive
as compared to a lot of the other mounting systems. So it's really
good product.
>>Wade: Excellent.
>>Paul: It's cleanable, you can clean it with alcohol
to sterilize it.You can Autoclave it, it's just a really good
product.
>>Wade: Cool. Paul, thank you so much for spending some
time with us today.
>>Paul: Thank you for stopping by. We appreciate it.
