So, today we're going to do a Supine Yoga sequence. Supine means to recline on your
back. And, this is a really great sequence for many different times. But, one example
is if you're feeling really tired. But, you know that being physically active will make
you feel better. Often, this sequence will actually really re-energize you. Because,
you are laying on your back but you do also have to work to maintain the poses. Another
time when it's great to do this sequence is right before you go to bed, by laying on your
back and letting your energy really calm down and your nervous system relax. You'll find
that you slip into sleep much more easily. Or, also maybe if you have insomnia or you
have trouble falling asleep sometimes. This would be a great sequence to practice before
then. Another great reason to do it, is if it's hard for you to weight bare on your wrists
or even on your legs. So, you have a foot or a knee or an ankle problem or some sort
of wrist or shoulder injury laying on your back decreases the weight baring aspect. And,
so it makes this sequence possible for a really wide range of people.
