Filth!
In the aaaarms ooooooof an aaaaangelll...
Golly. That child sure seemed quite sad indeed,
being in a state of poverty, and whatnot.
But, what exactly is making him sad?
What exactly is poverty?
Why is he stricken with it?
And what kind of efeects does is have?
And who has all the answers?
Poverty is defined by state of one who lacks material possessions or money.
This means that most people stricken by poverty
can't even afford basic commodities such as running water, clean food, or even
housing! But enough talk,
let's go out to our reporter, and see some poverty firsthand.
A simple cardboard box - But to some people, it means the world.
Who are you???
What are you doing here???
Unsanitary living conditions is one of the main effects of poverty.
Look at what this man is living in!!! Does this look clean to you???
Will you leave me alone?!?!
Some people are SO poor,
they can't even find enough to eat!
I thought I'd told you to get lost!!!
Bad hygene is another unfortunate result of living in poverty.
Just look at this man! He's disgusting!!!
ONE MORE TIME, if you bother me ONE MORE TIME, I will shoot you!!!
If only I could afford a gun...
In the aaaarms ooooooof an aaaaangelll...
Poverty sounds PRETTY bad,
but let's get some of the details from our Yale correspondant.
What do I think of poverty?
I don't like it.
But it's most common in Africa -
Sub-Saharan Africa,
the highest country rates being Niger
92.7 % of people live in poverty
65.9 % living on at least $1.95 a day
And 89.5% deprived of sanitation!
That's the extreme,
that's the worst - the cream of the crop.
Worldwide, the total percentage of the world population that lives on less than $2.50
a day is 50%...FIFTY.
Now, uh, how many of you out there have a small child? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . None of you.
Did you know that over a sixth of the world's childeren,
1,000,000,000 children,
have inadequete
water supplies.
That's pretty whopping.
270,000,000 don't even access to health supplies!
And it's
all 'cause of poverty
Poverty isn't just about money
It has a multitude of other affects on other aspects of the government,
environment, and economy. Some of the nastier things, such as aids, teen pregnancy,
drugs and alcohol abuse, and other just, oh disgusting things - also rise from poverty.
Unsanitary and sometimes harmful conditions of being in a
poverty-stricken life
lead to many diseases being contracted by
the poverty stricken people.
Let's see how disease has fared for this young hobo - WELL, THE DISEASES I GOT. I GOT AIDS, MALARIA
I GOT A LITTLE HUH-HUH DOWN THERE! I GOT DIARRHEA! I ACTUALLY DIARRHEA-ED OVER THERE! I GOT SO MANY AIDS, I GOT STD'S,
That's nice
78% of all vandalisms occur from poverty-stricken people
who resent the
wealthier population.
What's that over there?!?!
Not having access to many sanitation services
can also be the root cause of pollution and littering
which is mainly done by homeless people...
people in poverty.
Unequal distribution of wealth accounts for the entire premise of poverty -
some people are very rich, and some people are very poor.
Why don't we take a look at the radical differences between the two parties?
This is a rich person.
And this is a hobo -
stricken by poverty.
I'm wearing this trimmed-to-fit Louis Vuitton suit,
Louis Vuitton sunglasses, a white satin tie, and an iPhone 5!
The hat?
Salvation Army. The jacket?
Dumpster behind 7-11.
Ahh, time to check the time on my expensive Rolex watch.
I have a sundial!
His name is Billy!
Roll over, Billy!
Gosh,
sure is nice to have this shiny, expensive car! Haha!
I have a bike. It's a Vaporizer.
What does the public think of poverty-stricken people?
Poor people suck! They're so stinky
and nasty!
OBAMA: I think
OBAMA: that poverty
OBAMA: is bad. So, not much is being done about poverty.
Although President Obama does think that if he can restore patriotism and pride
in the country, then perhaps America will be less poverty stricken country and have
less unemployment and economic downfall.
But, for now, it's all on you guys.
There's actually enough money
and food in the world
to feed everyone.
Some people just can't afford it.
It's all there.
They just need that little nudge. Here you go.
AWW, THANKS!!!
Very simple things such as volunteering in soup kitchens,
even encouraging the government to
train more health care or sanitation or education workers, or even just a dollar
to that hobo on the street.
All of those things, step-by-step can help end poverty.
So that perhaps one day,
the poor people of the world
will maybe be lessened of their burdens and co-exist with those who are more
fortunate.
Thank you.
