- Hello Ms Durand - Hello
- You are Executive Assistant at the CFA (agricultural apprentice training centre) in Angers.
You acquired Badgy two years ago – could you tell us what you use it for?
It is mainly used to produce the national apprentice and identity card, essentially for our apprentices,
using a model which was sent to us by the Regional Council of Pays de la Loire and the national Education Ministry.
About how many cards do you print, every year?
About 250 cards per year, sometimes more because we have to print out extras due to lost cards,
and this volume is set to increase because we are planning to start issuing cards to our trainers and assistants as well.
Could you tell us what the advantages of this are?
There is a considerable time-saving, it used to be me who made them using a model I had created on paper,
so we've gained in terms of flexibility now that it’s done using our software,
into which all the parameters are integrated and in one click, I can print all my cards.
The advantage is the timescale, because apprentices now have their cards
within a week or two of the start of term, and they are valid for a year
before it used to take a lot longer.
About how long did it used to take?
Well, you had to expect it to take 3 weeks, a month, or 2 months, depending on the workload at the time.
