In this video will explain to you our new address look up technology.
There are some important new improvements in this version.
First of all the adresses are now located on the CarCube itself
so that means that you don't need an online connection to find an address,
and secondly we introduce what we call the 'intelligent keyboard' to find the addresses.
I will give you some examples to show you
this functionality.
The first example is for instance this address in Brussels 'Wetstraat',
'Rue de la Loi'
which is downtown in Brussels.
To enter this address, as before you click on 'Enter manually'
then you select the country 'Belgium' in this case,
you enter part of the city or the full city name, so in this case 'Brussel'
and then for the street name,
you can start typing
and you will see from the third character on
after you have typed 'Wet' already,
only these characters remain visible that you can enter in combination with
'Wet'
so in this case we are looking for the 'Wetstraat' so you type the 's'
and you see after a few characters that the street we are looking for becomes visible.
You are also able in this case to find 'Rue de la Loi' which is the French name of 'Wetstraat'
by for instance
just typing
'Loi' and you see immediately here 'Rue de la Loi '
you can enter the
number of the house,
and if you click on 'ok' the route is calculated,
to that address.
The second example is the 'Johann-Krane-Weg'
in Germany, Münster so as city we type
'Münster' and 'Münster' in this case is with u-umlaut (ü)
and then we enter the road name,
'Johann-büchel-strasse' is not the one we are looking for,
but we are looking for the 'Johann-Krane-Weg'
so you see by just typing the characters that you find it very easily.
What I want to show you in this case is,
if you don't know that it is with dashes and you just start typing for instance
'Krane'
that you are also able to find this.
But I also want to show you in this case is if you don't know that 'Johann-Krane-Weg' is
with two dashes
you just can type
'Johann' like before,
and if you click then on 'ok'
enter the house number,
our solution proposes you all the combinations that are found with 'Münster'
and 'Johann',
so in this case even the 'Johann-büchel-strasse' in 'Münstermaifeld' is found
but I was looking for the 'Johann-Krane-Weg' which is in this case the first one.
I select it and the route is calculated to that destination.
The third example is this address in Poland.
in Lódz, Wlokiennicza
and the special thing about this address, it is full of accents
but the good thing in our new technology,
is that you don't need to
know all these accents to type them, you just
type the city name 'Lodz' without any accents
and then you start typing
the street name,
and you see that immediately without typing all these accents, I have found
this address. I enter the house number for instance,
number '10' was it
and then I calculate the route to it.
so this was a little bit of explanation about our new local geocoding I hope you like it.
and if you have more questions let us know,
so that we can help you.
