Barbara Palvin is one of my favorite models so today I am going to do a look inspired
by her L'oreal Caresse billboard. Before starting with makeup I want to show you how to do your
own lip scrub. Here is what you need: honey, sugar, olive oil and a vaseline or for me,
I'm using Elisabeth Arden eight hour cream which is by far my favorite lip balm.
Take a bowl or something where you will mix the ingredients. First take a spoon of honey
and put it into it. I also needed to try some – mmm, it's good! Then add a spoon of sugar
as well. Sugar is a great exfoliant, just make sure you're not using sugar powder! Mix
the two ingredients together till the sugar is evenly incorporated in the honey. You can
make less scrub if you want, but I like to make more and store it in a little container
so it is always ready to use when I want it. Next add a drop of olive oil and mix again.
You know like after some body scrubs your skin feels tight and dry? Well this lip scrub
is actually super moisturizing as it contains honey, olive oil and vaseline or lip balm
which I just added. Just another final mix and there you have
it, your own moisturizing lip scrub. Apply the scrub to your lips and rub it gently with
your finger. Then wipe it off with some tissue paper or rinse with water. Now your lips should
feel super soft and plumped. I like to put on a bit of lip balm at the end so that our
lips will be soft for when we apply the lipstick. OK, this was a mini spa for our lips now on
to the makeup. Barbara's skin looks so naturally flawless on the picture of course, so I am
first applying this hydrating primer from Smashbox. Primer will help to create a smooth
canvas for the foundation. I will be using a Bourjois healthy mix, and to get that flawless
yet very natural look I'm using beauty blender to apply it.... emm I love it as you can tell...
ok enough with the beauty blender. Here I am just doting the foundation on my
face and then start blending it! I love this foundation as it's so lightweight, gives medium
coverage, and if you blend it well it looks so natural that you cannot really tell that
you're wearing makeup at all! So I am just blending the foundation all over my face and
on the sides I like to roll the blender like so to assure that there will be no lines.
And of course don't forget to lightly blend it to the neck as well.
Now it's time to cover those dark circles because Barbara did not have them on the billboard,
of course. Using mac studio finish concealer and a fluffy synthetic brush apply this under
your eyes. You can also use your fingers for the application.
On to the brows - Barbara has quite full and bold brows on the picture, so even though
my brows are naturally pretty defined, I am going to fill in any gaps by mixing the naked
and buck eyeshadow from the naked palette. By the way, can you see how plumped and full
my lips look? This is what the scrub did! Ok, time for the eyes! Now Barbara's eyes
look just so natural on the picture, so on my lids I am just using Mac paint pot in Soft
Ochre. This is the exact color as my skin and it will just even out the color on my
lids and keep them from looking oily. If your skin is darker than mine, than Painterly is
the right color for you.
Next, highlight the inner corners of your eyes with the white eyeliner. This will make
you look fresh and awake. On top of it I am adding *** from the naked palette.
Then take the eyeliner with the color as close to your natural eyelashes color as possible.
For me this is brown, but if you're darker it could be black or if you're eyelashes are
very light blonde, you can use a light kind of grey-ish color. You want to very lightly
dot the liner right in-between the roots of your lashes. This way your lashline will look
naturally super thick. Repeat this step on the upper lashline as
well. Next, I am just powdering only the center
of my face with the Maybelline Affinitone Powder. Only powder the forehead, chin and
the nose. You want the rest of the face to be super glowing.
Now I am applying a MAC cremeblend blush in the color Something special, which is a pretty
peachy pink and gives just a perfect natural glow. I like to apply the creme blush with
my fingers and work it into the skin really well by patting on to the cheeks. When going
for a light, natural and glowing looks, always go for the cream blushes over the powder ones
as they blend better into the skin and give that fresh shine to the face.
Time for my friend the beauty blender again, this is a great tool for blending the blush
as well. Even though I will not apply the mascara for
this look, as I don’t think Barbara had it; curling the lashes is absolutely essential
since it opens the eyes and makes them look much more awake and fresh.
Now I have 3 colors from the L’oreal Caresse Rouge line. This mauvy purple, the pink and
the fuchsia and this last one is the one I’m using today. Now since my lips are very pigmented
I need to put a bit of concealer to tone them down. This way the lipstick color will be
more vibrant and true. Lastly just apply the lipstick and we’re done – here’s our
fresh Barbara Palvin look! Thanks for watching and I see you next time!
