Thank you for choosing Vivint. And welcome to your new system. At Vivint we believe that
the real value in your home automation system is in its features used to simplify your life.
Over the next few minutes we are going to show you how to take full advantage of your
Go!Control panel by going over some of its basic features. LetÕs get started. One of
the most common questions is How do I change my master code? ItÕs a simple and secure
process. Start out on the main screen of your panel and press the security button, followed
by menu, toolbox, and user codes. Now, enter your current master code. In this instance,
we chose the code 9 8 7 6. Your screen will show a list of 8 codes. Just press the code
that you want to change and type in a new four-digit number. Our new code is 5 4 3 2.
And thatÕs it. Your new master code has been set. Next, letÕs talk about how to set the
date and time. Again, start on the main screen of your panel and press security, then menu,
then toolbox. Press the right arrow to scroll over to the page 2 of 3 of the toolbox section.
Now press set date and time. As you can see there are up and down arrows that will allow
you to change the month day and year. Once you have set the date, press next. Go ahead
and do the same process for the time that you did for the date. Press ok twice to exit
the menu, and youÕre all done. The chime function is another useful tool. When your
system is disarmed, it tells you if someone has entered or exited your home, if a window
is opened, or when any other event is triggered. Turning it on or changing it is simple. HereÕs
how to do it. First, on your main screen push security, menu, toolbox, and chime setup.
Then enter your master code. Once youÕve done that, a list of different zones will
appear. Touch the check box next to each zone to turn on the chime separately. Another commonly
asked question is how do I open a window at night, but keep my system on. Or in other
words how do I bypass a sensor? To bypass a sensor all you do is press the security
box in the main screen of your panel. Then, press menu, toolbox, and bypassed sensors.
Once youÕve reached the bypassed sensors page and entered your code: ours is 5 4 3
2, a list of zones will appear. Simply press on the zone that you would like to bypass
and an icon will appear showing you that you have completed the task. ItÕs a good idea
to test your system at least once a month. HereÕs how to do it. Start by pressing the
security button, followed by menu, toolbox, and system test. Your panel will ask you to
enter your master code. Ours is 5 4 3 2. All you need to do is follow the on screen prompts
and you will know your system is ready for another month. If you have any additional
