The grant that we got today is for
continued delivery of food from the food bank at Comstock Park.
Up until a year ago
when Feeding America West Michigan provided us with
some funding we had to get all our supplies from the food bank
by going down and having volunteers load cars
and carry it back up.
Funds from the Mecosta County Foundation will let us continue
food deliveries for another year. And this benefits not only
the Manna Pantry, but also Project Starburst, WISE, and Gods Helping Hand.
What we have going on today is
the end result of some of the things we do. This is where we actually
hand the checks out, which is the most fun thing for me.
The Manna Food Pantry and Project Starburst.
All of our grants go to help the community at large, but this one is pretty special.
There's a lot of need right now for food
and for feeding people. It's a tough time.
It's fun when our community can come together and bring dollars back into the community.
