MICKEY DENONCOURT: Things that we can take from experience if we were mountain bike racers
when you're riding cross are sort of looking ahead, choosing good lines, riding hard stuff,
being loose, all that sort of stuff. So as I ride through this little loop that we serve
to come up with, I'm going to really focus on what my strengths will be if I was a mountain
bike racer for riding cross, so that's my cornering, my ability to get out of corners
quickly and all that sort of stuff. So rough obstacles, terrain, dealing with the bike
wanting to break loose and stuff like that is all going to be things that can help me
go quicker and things I can bring to the table from sports that I participate in most of
the year. You know if I was a road racer, I'd be looking at some sort of different areas
to really make my mark in the event.
