>> We've been in this facility for about six years
and it's a state of the art facility
with real-time student-run restaurants and catering,
and it's been very successful over the years.
It's continued to grow every year since we've started the program.
Our students will go through many stages of cooking,
from basic to intermediate to advanced,
two types of advanced, baking and pastry.
They are also going through the art of garde class.
They'll get all of the aspects of traditional and classic cooking,
as well as an international cooking class.
>> The reason a student should come to Cypress College
for the culinary program, there's a couple of key things.
One, chef instructors.
We are certified through the American Culinary Federation,
which shows the skill level of the instructor.
The facility, which is state of the art facility.
We basically have modern equipment to be instructed on.

I feel like they really prepared me to take on the real world.
>> I think the best thing I'm getting out of this program is the instructors
because the instructors are really good.
They lead by example, they have passion for what they do,
and it really rubs onto me.

And like I said, we have a lot of great experienced instructors here
that will always help you and are always here for us.

The chefs know their stuff.
