In this video we will show you how to manage your BT online account, we will cover off
paying your bill online, how to view your bills and how to print off a paper copy.
Please note, to carry out anything contained in this video you will need to have your My
BT account already set up, if you are unsure on how to do this please watch our other video
on how to set up your My BT account.
If you do not have a direct debit set up on your account you can pay your bill using the
online facility contained within your My BT online account, this means you can pay at
any time of the day or night with no need to call.
First you need to log in to your My BT account by going to www.bt.com/mybt and selecting
log in. You will now be asked to enter your BT ID
credentials, which are the details you chose when you set up your online account, if you
are unable to remember these and need assistance, please see our video on setting up your My
BT account as this contains a section on resetting your password and BT ID.
Once logged in you will be presented with the home page. Now please click on manage
your payments or view your payments, either will take you through to the next screen,
as you can see from this account, this user has a direct debit set up. If you donít have
a direct debit set up please click on make a payment from the left hand side list.
You will now be asked to input the amount you wish to pay, enter this now and press
continue. Next you will be asked to input your payment
details, you can choose to save the payment details to your profile so that you donít
have to enter them the next time you wish to pay, just remember to update these details
if you get a new card. You might be asked at this stage to verify
your details by your bank. You will now be presented with a screen confirming
that your payment has been made, and thatís it, you have now made a payment on your account.
You can choose to print this off for your records or return to your My BT home page.
If you click on view payments you will now see your payment in the payment history.
If you want to be able to track your usage you can do this by viewing your bills online,
many customers are now on e-billing which means that we donít send them out a paper
bill, some customers still want to have a paper copy for their records, so we will show
you where to view your bill and how to print off a paper copy.
From the home page of your My BT account you will need to select View your latest bill.
This will now show you the total of your current bill with your usage underneath.
If you want a paper copy of this for your records, please now select download your bill.
You should now be presented with a pop up asking you where you wish to save your bill,
this is so that you can save a copy to your computer, choose where you wish the bill to
be saved to and click save.
Your bill has now been saved to your computer, so all you need to so now is open the document
from its saved location and print as you would any other normal document.
Bills will be available to download at any time and will stay on your account for up
to 15 months, so if you lose a copy you can always log into your account and get a new
one.
To view older bills, just select previous bills from the left hand side.
You can download any of your bills from here.
When in your My BT account you can also see all calls that you have made from your line
for any period within the last 15 months.
From the left hand side click on usage and analysis
Next choose what you want to see from one of the choices in the drop down menu, if you
want to see calls, please select from the bottom 3 options, the rest will be presented
in a graph format .
Now you need to choose either a billing period or Date Range.
Now press View
You will now see all of the calls that match the criteria you have selected and within
the time frame you specified.
