Fresh lettuce with fried beef mince
◆Ingredients◆ 7~8 leaves lettuce 2 handful "harusame" (dried) Oil for deep-frying Sesame oil for frying About 270g minced beef Pine nuts ◆Seasonings◆ 2 tbsp sugar (30ml) 1.5 tbsp soy sauce (22.5ml) 2 tsp "mirin" (10ml) 2 tsp sake (10ml) 1.5 tsp "Tianmenjiang" (Chinese miso, sweet soybean paste)
Wash 7~8 leaves lettuce, and drain in a colander.
Deep-fry the "harusame" and drain. (Caution: Keep an eye on the "harusame", because fried in a flash.) (* harusame=bean-starch vermicelli)
Stir-fry about 270g minced beef in a frying pan with heated sesame oil.
When the color of the meat changes, add the 2 tbsp sugar, 1.5 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp "mirin", and 2 tsp sake.
Then add 1.5 tsp "Tianmenjiang" and mix all. When the taste spreads through evenly, turn off the heat.
Serve lettuce on a plate,
crush the deep-fried harusame,
add fried beef and mix.
To finish, sprinkle with pine nuts on top.
