Hi I'm Ryo with Agilent. Today, I'll show you an innovative yet very useful feature of B1505A.
The feature is called 'Oscilloscope View' because B1505A can work just like an oscilloscope.
In fact, the oscilloscope view is much superior to conventionaloscilloscope in many ways.
First of all, you don't need any extra connection to see the pulse waveform
Second of all, you can see not only voltage waveform but also current waveform very accurately,
which is not possible using external oscilloscope with current probe or shant resistor.
Waveforms of all measurement ports can be displayed.
Now, let's make a measurement in curve tracer test mode.
I have a MOSFET in this test fixture.
When I start measurement, we are going to see the drain family curves on the display.
Ah-huh, I just got a bumpy curve.
It looks like the curves are not what I expected.
So, let me open the oscilloscope view.
You can add current and voltage waveforms of any ports from this menu.
You can adjust graphic parameters to see the curves in a right scale.
By looking at the waveforms in the oscilloscope view, It's obvious you have some oscillation.
Then, let me go into a set up page
and put series resistor to avoid the oscillation.
Let me make a measurement again.
Now, you get beautiful IV curves and the waveforms look appropriate.
Checking the waveforms applied to the device or debugging of measurement is very very simple just like this.
The waveforms can be saved into a file for further analysis later.
The great feature can be used with various modules of B1505A.
Ultra high current up to 1500A, Ultra high voltage up to 10kV are not exception
and are supported by the Oscilloscope view.
