My favourite moment to date would probably be when I made my first sale. It would have
to be winning the Ignite Public Speaking Competition. My favourite moment of my career is being
able to implement our 2013 digital strategy. And I think that first sale really instilled
in me the confidence that sales was somewhere I wanted to be. How do you pick a favourite
moment in your career? I travelled Australia, I've worked with amazing people and I've worked
on cutting edge technology like IBM Watson. Working in IBM headquarters in New York. Last
year I was very fortunate to be chosen from only 400 people globally to participate in
the best of IBM. I'm working with some faily senior executives, alongside them as they
make some fairly major decisions around the strategic direction of the corporation. It
gave me really fantastic access to all the executives in IBM. There's not one favourite moment.
I think long term at IBM I want to move into an executive or management position. To be
relevant and to contribute and hopefully be considered for the 2015 graduate program.
I think I'm a people person and I feel moving into a people management role defiinitely
be something I want to do down the track. Longer term I see myself assuming maybe a
leadership position, and mentoring younger women in IT. I hope I can continue to be part
of that involving organisation where I'm growing personally and professionally. To continue
to focus on my passion, which is sales and strategy. It's an area where women tend to
do well and its an area where those sorts of skills are highly sought after. I don't
have a master plan. I'm taking advantage of all the opportunities of IBM to grow myself
and my career.
