Today, I'd like to answer a few questions from some friends of the ministry. The first
one is, "Is suicide a sin that would put a believer in hell for eternity?" Well, you
know the Word does not specifically spell this out "a-b-c-d" so I'll share my opinion.
based on the larger picture of God that the Word gives us. But essentially, you know,
suicide is nothing but the result or you could say the bad fruit of a mental or emotional
sickness, instability, or infirmity. That's really all suicide is. Of course, you know,
the Word says that healing is the in atonement for our whole being, our whole man. Well,
you know if somebody gets sick in their body and dies, they don't go to hell. Of course
if someone then gets sick in their mind or emotions and death is the result, nor do I
think they'll go to hell then. So my opinion and my answer, looking at the larger picture
the Word gives us of God is no. Suicide is not going to produce eternal damnation. I
know a lot of people have the tendency to want to say that it does in order to discourage
someone from that route but I don't believe that's the case.
