Hi, I’m Emma and I’m a Stonewall Youth Volunteer.
At the moment I’m studying my A-levels at secondary school
and I remember growing up in secondary school as a gay
person and I remember how hard it was, I remember worrying
about what people thought of me or how people would react.
I remember worrying about my parents and how they would
react and part of my campaign is setting up a Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual and Transgendered society which I’ve done.
I’ve had support and I’ve also not had some support from some
people, but not everyone gets it and that is the point of the
campaign to prove that we can make it better and it’s great
because people are learning what is like and we're doing
things that can teach people that being gay is ok.
And it gets better today and we can make it happen.
