This is the second part of my video about the Oil Cleansing Method - in the first one,
I explained all the theory, everything you need to know, and in this one I'm going to
show you the step-by-step instruction on how to do it. So let's jump right in without wasting
any more time!
So all I'm going to need today is my oil mixture, which is just grape seed oil, castor oil,
avocado oil lavender oil. We're also going to need hot running water and a soft wash
cloth - you need a fresh one for every day. So, luckily, at the moment I'm wearing a bit
of mineral make up and mascara, so I'm going to show you how I remove that as well. So
for that, I grab a large cotton pad and some rose water. And then I just put a bit of it
on the cotton pad, and I simply wipe. Everything - well, not everything, but a big chunk of
it actually comes off, and the rest will taken off by the Oil Cleansing Method. That's not
necessary, you can simply use the Oil Cleansing Method. I simply prefer doing this before
because I guess I just don't like my towel getting dirty. You know, I love mineral make
up because it's so easy to remove it. Even just wiping with a bit of rose water like
this is almost enough to take off everything. You know, if I use conventional powder or
a liquid foundation, it would take me forever to remove it! So it's great, it's natural,
and it's good! And it's super easy to remove.
OK, now that I've removed most of my make up from my face, next I'm going to grab...
hmmm, that's disgusting! Next, I have to remove the mascara from my eyes. For that, I just
grab a cotton pad, I wet it with some water, squeeze it out, and then put a bit of extra
*** olive oil. Just literally a few drops. That's it! Then, I simply put it on my eyes
and just leave it there for a bit. Everything will dissolve, even waterproof mascara.
Next, make sure that your hands and your face are dry. The Oil Cleansing Method will not
work if your skin is wet. Then I'm going to grab my oil mixture, and it's nearly finished,
I need some more. I think I'll try a different combination now because I like to experiment.
I just put a little bit on my palm, and rub it between my palms just to warm it up. And
I start to gently massage it on my face. You should just use slow but firm movements to
massage it in. And don't be afraid to do it for quite a while. For the first times you
do it, you'll probably feel clogs coming out after around 5 to 10 minutes. So just keep
going until you start feeling the clogs coming out. And then do it for a few minutes more!
That's it! I'm done massaging. Now I'm going to rinse my hands. I'll wait for the water
to warm, take your wash cloth, make it wet, then squeeze it out and apply it on my face.
The water has to be hot but it shouldn't hurt your hands. Wring it out. Then 'll just put
it on my face for around 30 seconds or just until it cools down. As it's cooled a bit,
I'm wiping all the oil off.
I generally repeat this process twice. I'll do it once more. Rinse, wring it out and apply
it on my face. Here we go! Just a little tip - it's best to do this after a shower or after
a good exercise session. You know, when your face is hot and sweaty because then your pores
will be open, and it will be much easier to get all the junk out.
Next, I'm just going to splash some cold water to close my pores. Then with the towel I dry
but without rubbing. And now this is an optional step but often I grab the same rose water
and a cotton pad, and I just use it as a toner. Just wipe it on my face, gently, to remove
any unnecessary oil residue from my face. I really like the smell, it's amazing!
OK, and the last step, if your skin feels dry - you just need to wet your hands a little
bit, just a tiny bit. Make sure your face is still damp after the rose water. And then
just put a few drops of your favourite oil, in my case this is extra *** olive oil.
Just put a few drops on your palm, rub it between your hands, and then just apply it
on your face. Just dab! And then you can lightly massage it as well. But I just dab it.
Voila! My skin is happy, soft, nourished, and ready for the night. That's it! I hope
you liked it! If you did, please give me a thumbs up! Give Oil Cleansing Method a try.
