gritty urban saga so the FDA
the food and drug administration has called for a safety review
all antibacterial soaps and I'd
you probably have one of these in your home I have one of these in my own
most people do and the reason that they've called for a safety review
actually just three reasons and that they've called for this review
reason number one is that the soaps have never been proven
to kill bacteria better than standard soap and water
that's that's reason number one a
reason number two is a unanticipated
hormonal affects I quote unanticipated
hormonal affects and I'll come back to that as well
and then reason number three is the
they there boosting drug-proof
bacteria basically that the superbug and so
okay so to rewind it go back to this now there's a
chemical and most antibacterial soaps culture close in
try close and triclosan and probably mispronouncing it either way
on but this chemicals been on the market since 1972
1972 its 2013 it's almost
2014 and this product is just now getting reviewed
and that's a little outrageous to me
okay week we trust these administrations to
to keep us safe from things like this it to where we can go to store
and buy a product and and what it says on the label is what we're actually
doing it gets in the house and it's safe
these things that we trust these administration's the test that we don't
have to have the
a lab in a in our house and and have lab rats that we test these things on it and
have conclusive studies before we wash our hands
we trust these administrations and it's been since 1972
and now we're getting a review on it its that's outrageous
its it's ridiculous on and another thing that makes this ridiculous is that these
companies that have these
these chemicals on the shelves in stores
they're not pulling them off the shelves not doing anything at that sort
out there giving them till the end of 2014
giving him more than a year to provide proof
tests that show that they're antibacterial soaps
are are better than just soap in water uh standard soap and water
thats i mean I'm sure that
and average person would be outraged know that something is going to be
on the shelves how long does it take you know something to be on the shelf for a
full year
while they review and see if it's actually what it says is
on your your multi-million dollar company your
from the Sun is probably billion-dollar companies on and
it takes you a full year to run some tests
on some so it's just it's crazy to me
its actually crazy me the second reason these
unexpected or unanticipated sorry unanticipated hormonal effects they've
actually
run tests on this already they've actually test this on
animals the antibacterial soaps and that triclosan
and they found that yes there are differences in hormone levels
in these animals and and this is another thing that outrages me is because since
1972
this has been on the shelf so their whole generations
people who have been using this their entire life using the soaps
and and who knows what type of hormonal effects its caused
knows what what issues with coping your
are you know just mental issues things like that who knows how far it goes
there haven't been tests
so could potentially and in our want to keep things clean we could
possibly a damaged ourselves and everyone else around us because these
companies have been held accountable
its its just outstanding outstanding really is
on and then the third reason that they're reviewing this is that they can
it shown to boost drug-proof bacteria
so it's creating the superbug that we keep hearing about it's creating
bacteria that are resistant to treatment now
if standard soap and water hasn't been
proven wrong if standard soap and water has been
tried-and-true for for years and years on
you know what is the point using the exact antibacterial soaps while they're
under review
I'm doing this is basically my call to action for
for most the people are gonna be watching this video I'm not talking
about people who have
on you know issues with their immune system
issues with the on being resistant to bacteria and things so if
if you're one of those people you know I understand you need to keep things clean
you can't you can't risk it and that's that's fine
understand that and and there's and there's no reason why you should be
using these things but people who have
on know sort of immune system disorders are things like that
on I'm calling for you to just just put down the antibacterial soap and just use
regular soap and water
wash your hands and sing happy birthday song twice while washing your hands
like nurses and doctors do and just
and just put it down put down the antibacterial soap because it's not proven
to do anything for your family
besides helped create the superbug and it has a lot to do with this separate
mentality
that a lot of people have on I'm sure it's been over history but it seems more
prevalent
on recently and that people feel that
why do I care you know if you're not if you're not in my family plan on my
circle
my clique in my gang then I don't care about you you can
you can go do what you're gonna do because I'm gonna keep my people safe
over here
and keep my family clean with these antibacterial soaps but
you understand it everyone has that mentality and we keep leavin
is on these labels it says it kills 99.99 percent
standard household bacteria says something like that so there's still
that point 01
that's getting stronger that's not getting killed on that
you know .01 times to you know two billion households
that equals were making the superbug that equals that
if you keep having this mentality of you're separate
and it doesn't matter that you know there's old there's a fine line between
I just thought of this but it's it's funny there's a fine line between
keeping your hands clean and creating World War Z
and who knows where this is going to go is the studies
on they're giving these these companies till the end of 2014 to prove it
and even if they are proven wrong it's gonna be in till 2016
before these things actually go into effect before these these
reviews and sanctions and rules get changed so
we basically have three years of
possibly creating what's gonna what's going to be the superbug here
so I just like I said I'm calling the action everyone who has
the ability to put down the antibacterial soaps and just get regular
soap and water
just do it you know I mean you're helping yourself you're hoping that
mankind basically at that point because the superbug is is probably not gonna
know
any sort borders between your house in somebody else's
so that's my thoughts on the subject ha gritty urban saga
