MAHINARANGI TOCKER: It's just amazing how many people say to me,
"Are you really mental, cause you don't look it?"
And I just think it's funny, you know.

DON SELWYN: Illness is, it's not a big issue.
It’s not a big issue in terms of my relationship with her, or family, or anyone else.
And when it emerges, we’re in a position to handle it.
TOCKER: If somebody says to me, you know, “Do you get depressed?”
or, “What is your situation?”
I can tell them that it's okay.
SELWYN: She’s much more aware of herself and her fallibilities,
and she allows us, in a way, to, um, be honest about ourselves.
TOCKER: I think the day I learned to accept
that I have a mental illness and that I can say,
“I have a mental illness,”
- it’s like a huge release ... and a relief.
