"Now before attempting the Butterfly Twist there is obviously a couple of precautionary
things that we need to take into account. A couple warnings I want to give you is one,
make sure you warm up. Make sure that your body is ready to do this twist because it's
a high difficulty movement. A couple things you can do is some back bends because your
going to have to be arching your back in the air and than just warming up your waist and
your hips overall. Because as you twist your going to be using these back muscles over
here. Just, also usually what I like to do is just do a couple of jogs around the area
because your going to do a high intensity jump and before that you also need to warm
up, really importantly, your ankles and your knees, because you don't want to blow out
something as your running into this movement. So I like to just bend down. Give your knee
a couple little shakes to warm it up, like so, and also just definitely just loosen your
ankles up, your thigh and calf itself, because when your running through this you need a
certain amount of explosiveness and definitely when your running into with out warming up
than definitely you can pull something and you have to be careful of that. Another thing
that you really have to be cautious about is, right here we have carpet, were in a good
facility and location. If you just try this in your own living room or kitchen or backyard
you've got to be careful not to slip on something that's in the grass or backyard make sure
there's no objects on the floor and it's always best if your just learning this movement for
this first time to have maybe a gymnastics mat or some sort of blue matted padding and
various safety precautions. You should maybe have some padding on your body or knee pads
before trying this movement. Lastly, make sure that your ready, your physically ready
for this movement. If you don't have the proper physical conditioning it may be more difficult
to do this movement because you need to be a certain height for the Butterfly Twist before
you can execute it correctly and successfully. Not to say that it's beyond anyone?s physical
conditions or physical limits but just that your body needs to be in tune with itself
before you can attempt this movement."
