Hello, good afternoon! Today we're going to make our favorite chocolate shake!
For all you chocolate
lovers, we're going to
have a very healthy chocolate shake only
235
calories per cup.
We have four ingredients:
we've got
coconut milk, all-natural, organic;
pure, ultra chocolate ice cream from Trader Joes; we got some real vanilla
extract and we've got some organic
cocoa
powder, unsweetened; we don't need to add any extra sugar
or any extra anything
for this great
chocolate shake. So what are we gonna do?
First, what we're gonna do is take our chocolate ice cream - now this is premium ice cream it's
very hard so
to prepare and get it out really nicely
put your spoon, your scoop, into some really hot water
and leave it there and that way you can scoop out
the chocolate ice cream quite well.
All we're gonna start out with is a few scoops, so you're gonna scoop out like
three balls
put them in here
so you can see with the hot scoop everything comes out quite nicely.
We've got three scoops in there
then what we're going to do
is add some
cocoa powder.
We're gonna add one tablespoon
of cocoa powder.
Next we're gonna add some coconut milk.
Now coconut milk
is the magic factor.
I'm gonna show you how to add that in.
First of all you want to add it to right about here, maybe trying to cover
most of the ice cream itself.
And then we're going to adjust it
as we mix up the ice cream, as we blend it.
And a little squirt of
pure vanilla extract, to add some flavor.
Now we're gonna take all this to our blender that way along with the coconut milk.
Make sure the blender is
plugged in. There we go.
Now the secret to getting this nice and smooth is to make sure you add enough
coconut milk
to get it smooth. So here
we're just gonna see how smooth it is.
Pretty smoothly indeed! We got that one right off the bat!
So we're now ready to serve.
And here is that nice, silky smooth
chocolate shake
which the kids love so much - only 235 calories.
If you wanna make it a little chunkier
just add a little more ice cream and
if you want to make it smoother just add a little more coconut milk.
