In the future, all of the objects around us will be intelligent thanks to technology.
And connected: connected to each other, connected with us. And the result is truly magical.
The Human Antenna is a creation by the Swiss designer Florian Krautli, who designed
a rug that uses the human body as an antenna to tune the radio.
It's a special carpet, made of rings of wire placed under the surface,
that pick up radio waves when a person walks on it.
The rug transmits waves to the radio booster and they become audible.
With the Human Antenna we can listen to music, or our favorite program,
a political debate, and why not, even the commentary of a soccer game.
The radio can be adjusted to a specific frequency with the simple movement of our feet,
or by sitting, kneeling, or moving to different points on the carpet
to pick up the desired frequency.
The Human Antenna is an example of how innovative technology can transform objects
for everyday use into interactive tools that are controlled by our body.
Think of the amazement of those who heard the first sounds come from a magic box 16 0:01:22 --> 0:01:24 when the radio was invented.
And now think of how amazed people will be as they watch you change the channel just by
moving on a carpet, or maybe just by staying seated and moving your foot.
Florian Krautli's Human Antenna is just for fun, but the world of intelligent and connected objects
will seriously change the way we do things very soon.
