Gasunie Engineering and Technology is about developing and applying knowledge in daily practice.
This means we work together with the industry and energy suppliers to develop new technologies and test them to strengthen the collaboration.
It’s a fine organization with a great deal of expertise on gas.
They felt they could do much more for Gasunie by achieving a higher market potential than they were realizing.
We then assessed the organization’s strength and available knowledge in terms of its true market potential.
We concluded that to realize that goal, conditions within the organization needed to reflect those of a commercial company.
Squarewise started with a Quick Diagnostic and Risk Analysis of Gasunie Engineering and Technology (GET),
...aimed at the market potential of available knowledge within the organization.
GET was sold to KEMA on July 1st, 2009 and the project entered a second phase, focused on the realization of growth potential.
Based on our analysis, realizing the projected growth potential required the implementation of some fundamental changes.
The sale of GET to KEMA was such a change.
We helped GET to draw up a 3 year business plan to get real results.
It was a significant moment for the project when we indicated that the boundary conditions needed to be altered fundamentally.
Pierre told us they were involved in a possible take-over by another commercial party, together with another strategic consultancy.
He asked both agencies to write a strategy proposal and opted for Squarewise.
We value the mutual trust between client and agency.
Squarewise inspired our confidence, so we assigned them the job of determining the optimal path to growth for our organization.
Ultimately, growth had to come from outside Gasunie.
We had to implement a serious intervention in the management’s old ways of operating and shift their focus outward to the new market.
Squarewise played a crucial role in creating the business plan and the resulting growth of recent times.
We achieved a growth of 20 % based on the plan and are confident we can realize similar results this coming year.
