How to make brussel sprouts taste good? by The Sweetest Vegan
Hey my Sweet Vs. Today I am craving something simple, because I am tired.
So we are going to make a vegan/vegetarian weekday meal. So that means one pot,
it's very simple, moderately quick, and we are making brussel sprouts.
And yes, brussel sprouts can taste good. They are one of my favorites and they will soon become one of your weekday favorites
too. Here we go. Cover the bottom of a medium sauce pan
with olive oil. Then put in a few drops of liquid smoke and soy sauce. I am using poultry seasoning
because it has so many good things. Thyme, sage, marjoram, rosemary, black pepper, nutmeg. And old bay seasoning because
because it has celery salt, mustard, red pepper, black pepper, bay leaves, cloves, all spice, ginger, mace, cardamon
cinnamon, and paprika. So much stuff. So now I am just putting in my garlic, and some lemon juice, but do not throw the lemon
away. Then I am going to add in my frozen brussel sprouts. You can use fresh
but I would boil them first, before using them.
But then you put in your frozen one, and put in your lemon. Make sure they are all touching the bottom of the pan.
I covered this with foil, then put it in the oven at 400 degrees F.
For about 20 minutes. Nothing was really happening, so I took the foil off
And broiled them at 450 for 20 more minutes, and that did it.
If I were going to do anything different to this recipe, it turned out delicious, but I would cut the brussel sprouts in half
because brussel sprouts are a dense vegetable and you want the flavor to get all the way through
