In this lesson I'm going to teach you about Vector Drawing in Photoline. If you come over
to your toolbox and select the Vector drawing tool, it looks like a plus with squiggly line
coming off of it. I'm going to select that and come over to my picture and just draw
around like we did with the Paintbrush, and it's going to create this line for me. And
you notice that it turns out red, and add down here at the bottom, this is your Vector
toolbox right here. What I can do is I can change the color of it, I click in on line
color, I'm going to change it to black and it will automatically change. I can also change
the line style and the width as well. From here, I'm going to make a little bit smaller.
And you can do this at anytime. There's a big difference between Vector drawing and
just drawing with a Paintbrush and that is, that this vector drawing right here has points,
within there's a whole bunch of points and the lines are drawn in between based on angles.
If you come over to your toolbox here, it's automatically change over to your Vector toolbox.
Going to select edit vector points, it looks like a arrow there, and you notice that the,
there's little dots within your line there. And what I can do is I can select these lines
and I can click and drag those around and I can also, whenever I select one, it'll give
me those angle I was just talking about. Or, I can select the end points of these as well
and adjust the angle as well. And you can come in and use these tools to delete points
and add points as well. And the main advantage to this is if you don't want a line that's
set, if you want to be able to come in and adjust the line later and adjust the thickness
and color as well, that's going to be extremely helpful. And Vector drawings are used a lot
in illustration. But that's the basics of using Vector drawings in Photoline.
