we're going to start of by asking Jade, Jade would you put this in the microwave for me?

we're going to put some bacon in the oven, let's see..30 minutes at 375
and you don't have to "Fry"

alright there we go
while Jade is getting my butter ready, I'm going to start off with 2 cups
of Lilly White, is it Lilly White?..white Lilly..I use bread
flour because
I've had more success with bread flour
than any other flour
there
are so many kinds of flour out there, you got your All purple flour..your self righteous flour
but I like the bread flour, I'm going to put in two cups of flour
and a handful of sugar, now my handful is going to be different that your handful
but you can pretty much bet that
that's a third of a cup of sugar

melted butter
uh...
I want a teaspoon of baking soda
now instead of putting it in with my dry ingredients I'm going to put it in my melted butter
that's the only dry ingredient I'm going to put in there
Ice cold buttermilk
and you know what? i never know how much I use, I'm thinking it's about 3 cups, but it's a big old bowl of buttermilk
2 eggs into my wet ingredients
2 capfuls of vegetable oil
Jade what did you do with my whisk?

mix that up
and let it
run all over the place
going to let my
baking soda dissolve
now I want just a pinch of salt in my flour and sugar
ok I want to take my buttermilk and my melted butter
and I don't want to stir this real hard
like I'm putting it in the blender or something
I just want to get everything good and wet
you don't want to ver stir it but then again you don't want any flour
bombs in your pancake either!
so that's looking pretty good right there
now it's time for this secret ingredient
Vanilla/Butternut flavoring
and I use one cap full of it
alright I've got my griddle at 350
I want to season it with a little butter
and I'm going to polish that up
now the consistency you're looking for
is pancake batter
consistency
right there that's what yo're looking for to get big fat pancakes
this ladle is right under a
1/4 cup
and it will make a decent size pancake...."I'm killing time
alright, when those bubbles form and pop
you can pretty much bet the other side is done
but just to be on the safe side
you want to pull it up
and look at that side
that don't look bad!
now I've learned over the years that if you don't want a mess
you can work your way into a pancake by sliding
your spakula back and forth
all the fancy flipping you see in the
in movies
is a bunch or
hoopla
you want to cook one side, flip it cook the other
put a spat of butter on it
and eat it
now the final ingredient
which makes great pancakes
even ..that much greater
is Blackburn Made syrup

it is the pancake syrup
of all pancake syrups fond at Wal-Mart
