>> RAMAN: Hello, everyone. Welcome back to channel on Android, I'm T.V. Raman.
>> CHEN: And I'm Charles Chen. >> RAMAN: And this time around, let's play
with YouTube, giving us on feedback for all the Standard Android Applications. YouTube
is a good application to try and I--and whenever I talk about video, people always make fun
of us on the web saying "What are blind people doing with video?" Sort of a not a very fine
statement because the video content on YouTube also has audio, and by the way, you can not,
can't hear it very well. So, YouTube--I probably never watched the most often viewed videos
on YouTube because they're probably not the most interesting from a distinct point of
view. But I do listen to talks, I listen to the White House Channel, there are plenty,
there's a lot of good content out there. So, let's go--I'll show you what it feels like
to use YouTube with TalkBacks. So we are back starting at the Marvin shell, let's go to
our app launcher. >> Home, application X.
>> RAMAN: Let's do a Y. >> Y from YouTube.
>> RAMAN: Okay, let's launch that. >> YouTube.
>> RAMON: Now, YouTube is up. We can sort of scroll through here and you'll hear each
of those items spoken and as I said, I personally never enjoy watching any of the most often
viewed videos on YouTube because, personally, I never find them interesting, these vary
obviously. Let's--hit the "menu" key here and show you a couple of YouTube searches.
>> Search. I have launched my account category settings. Search.
>> RAMAN: Okay, other. >> Search David Fox, YouTube search.
>> RAMAN: Okay, let's... Let's do an eagle search here.
>> T-V-R-A-M-A-N. >> RAMAN: You hit it into there.
>> YouTube results four for two-four. >> RAMAN: Okay go on, go down.
>> Charles L. Chen looking beyond the screen, looking beyond the screen. Text to speech
and eyes-free interaction of android, T.V Raman--YouTube. Disabled.
>> RAMAN: Hello, everyone, I'm T.V. Raman. >> YouTube.
>> RAMAN: This is getting a bit too recursive. Let's, let's back up of that video. There's
no point in showing a video of ourselves on a video but ourselves and let's back up that
one. So what is nice here again is that... >> Charles L. Chen looking beyond the screen
YouTube. >> RAMAN: Searching for--finding videos on
YouTube and launching it on the phone is actually very, very efficient, and especially when
you're on a WiFi network, things just move very rapidly. So, thanks for watching and
maybe at the end of all these demos, you yourself will be running TalkBack on the phone and
watching these same channels on YouTube. Look for us at Eye-Free Android, thanks for watching.
>> CHEN: Okay, see you around.
