there's an income tax referendum that would raise income taxes by
$950 million dollars to pay for more education spending
and changing the the state's education system in Colorado
there's a
referendum now that you have legalized marijuana
to apply a fifteen percent excess tax in a 10 percent sales tax
on marijuana I like it
and in Portland Maine Jimmy *** cake I imagine is now listening to the
program today I imagine is out
hopefully the electioneering
voters will decide on a local measure in Portland
that would legalize up to 2.5 ounces marijuana for adults 21 and over
technically speaking marijuana would still be a legal under state law
but the so you would not be
free necessary too well walk around with that but it would
have a pretty outsized impact
portland is the biggest the the city in Maine
by far and so
it may provide some political
imperious I guess to legalize across the curve the state
and as you know I susan Collins is looking at a year challenge
in 2014 from a former ACLU lawyer
marijuana legalization is high on her
