How to better manage your data usage
These days we all rely on our smartphones and tablets. But it's easy to get carried
without realising how much data you're using. You also need to bear in mind that some activities
consume more data than others. These include:
Sending and receiving emails with large attachments Downloading music and ringtones
Streaming music Watching video content
Viewing photographs on social media sites Using apps such as Skype™
And automatic app updates
It all adds up, which is why we provide a number of ways for you to monitor your data
usage.

And the self-help tool My Account -- to register visit telstra.com/myaccount
Our customers also receive data usage notifications. This is where we automatically send you an
SMS or email alerting you of your usage. However, it's important to remember that the information
provided may not include data used in the last 48 hours.
But if you'd like to better manage your usage, there are a number of things you can do. These
include:
Disabling your automatic app updates Using Wi-Fi where possible
Purchasing a data pack Or changing your plan
