Today we ve got a short but very exciting video and a bit of information about the top
ten best probiotic foods that are possible. Probiotics are very exciting; they re massive
in the media, and everybody s talking about them and why you should get more and more
in your diet, but nobody knows exactly how to do that and the best way to do that. Today,
I ve put together a short video on the top ten best foods that you can add to your diet
daily to make sure that you ve got a good balance of good digestive bacteria and you
re getting your balance of good and bad on the right track. Let s get straight into it.
Probiotics, what are they? First and foremost, they re a beneficial form of gut bacteria,
the good bacteria that you hear a lot about, and they help stimulate natural digestive
enzymes, juices, and stuff like that that keep our digestive organs and digestive track
functioning properly and healthy. In addition to taking supplements, you can support your
probiotic intake obviously with food, and that s what we re here to talk about today.
All of us know there are many health benefits of probiotics, but no one exactly knows how
to introduce those foods into the diet the right way and use them to supplement their
diet at the same time. Let s get into it. Before I get into listing the food, I do recommend,
where possible, trying to buy the organic versions of these foods, because they definitely
have better strains of probiotics, much healthy strains of probiotics, and much higher strains
of probiotics. First and foremost, let s get into yogurt. Who would have guessed one of
the best probiotic foods is live cultured yogurts? It s not those highly processed and
rich in sugar yogurts that you can find in your grocery store. What you re looking for
is live cultured yogurts, especially handmade or as unprocessed as possible. Look for brads
that also use goat s milk and have been infused with extra forms of probiotics. The reason
for that is goat s milk and goat s cheese is high in probiotics, and certain strains
are very beneficial for your digestive health. Make sure, when looking for yogurt, as I mentioned
earlier, you re reading the ingredient lists, because not all yogurts are made equally.
That may surprise people. Make sure you re checking out what yogurt you re actually buying.
Many popular brands are filled with high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, loads and
loads of sugar, and artificial flavors added, etcetera. High fructose corn syrup is one
of the biggest enemies today for anyone s diet, whether it be increasing your risk to
diabetes, increasing your risk to insulin, resistance, obesity, and also overconsumption
of bad empty calories. It s worse than sugar, even though sugar, white or plain sugar, is
very bad. Natural organic goat s milk, goat s cheese, and ones that are handmade or as
authentic as possible is what you want to look for for yogurts. Second of all is keffa.
It s similar to yogurt. It s a fermented dairy drink, and it uses a combination of goat s
milk and keffa grains. It s high in some really good bacteria and is also rich in antioxidants,
which is fantastic. I went into the US earlier this year, and keffa is growing in popularity
and is massive in America at the moment. It s sure to filter into the rest of the world
as well. Look for a good organic version, once again, in your local health food store
or you ll probably see it popping up in grocery stores very soon. The popularity is bound
to skyrocket. It s very healthy, tastes great, and is a great way of getting some probiotics.
Third is sauerkraut. It s made from fermented cabbage. It s sort of a salad or side dish.
It s not only extremely healthy and rich in live cultures, but it s also great for aiding
and reducing allergy systems. It s rich in vitamins B, E, A, and C, and it tastes fantastic.
It s a nice thing to have on the side with a good protein portion. It makes a fairly
solid and very healthy meal. Look out for that, and try and see where you can source
it from. It s very healthy and very good. Fourth, one of the most people s favorites,
is chocolate, but specifically, dark chocolate. Probiotics can be added to high quality dark
chocolates, and you ll probably seen them, if you have not yet already, popping up around
stores, health food stores, and convenience stores, etcetera. Dark chocolate can be infused
with many things to boost its health benefits, probiotics being one of them. It s a fantastic
mix because it is one of the very few dairy sources that actually can have probiotics
added to them. That increases the benefit of them, because they re very high in antioxidants
at the same time. Number five is microalgae. What is microalgae? They are powders in foods
and whatnot, such as [unclear] and many of the other blue-green algae powder formats
you can find as well. They re very healthy and are something I suggest to most people
if they re looking to supplement their diet. It s very rich in protein, antioxidants, digestive
track cleansing chlorophyll, which is the green parts of the food, and very high in
natural highly absorbable vitamins. It boosts your energy, your immune system, and your
health. It s great because it s full of digestive good bacteria to boost your health at the
same time. Number six is miso soup, one of my favorite ones when I m going to the sushi
shop. Miso soup is one of the main supplementations in any Japanese traditional medicine, and
is commonly used for cooking and a digestive regulator. It s made from fermented beans,
rice, and barley. Adding a tablespoon of miso to some hot water not only tastes fantastic,
but is extremely probiotic, rich, and full of some good bacteria strains, such as lactobacilli
and bifidus as well. It s fantastic, so make sure you use that. It also helps to acclimate
the body and can reduce the effects of a lot of carcinogenic substances in today s lifestyle
as well. Number seven is pickles, which is quite a funny one. The good old pickle is
an excellent and fantastic source of good strain probiotics. You can make them at home
or buy them. They re very handy and last a fair amount of time. They taste great. They
re good. Number eight is tempeh. It s a substitute for meat and tofu. It s a fermented probiotic
grain made from soybeans, and it s a great source for certain vitamins and minerals.
It s great for a lot of those vegetarians who don t like to eat too much meat. It s
a great source of probiotics and a fantastic option full of protein, and tastes pretty
good as well. Number nine is a bit more of a unique one. Kimchi is an Asian form of the
pickled sauerkraut. It s spicy, a little bit sour, and is made from fermented cabbage,
once again. It s usually had alongside most meals in Korea, and it has many good bacteria
strains in it. It s very rich and high in those bacteria as well. Number ten is kombucha
tea. It s a form of fermented tea that is high in probiotics, once again. It s a drink
that s been used for centuries in the Asian cultures, and it helps boost your well-being.
A lot of people say it helps with weight loss because it boots your immune system and your
metabolism at the same time. It s fantastic for that and for getting your gut health on
board. Finally, just to wrap up, what do I recommend other than foods? Look, foods are
great. You ve got to get lots of them in your diet to get your bacteria counts up, but another
way to boost your bacteria is a good supplement. You see in my probiotic reviews, if you click
below, you can check out my top four, but I do suggest natural digestive care ultimately
for those looking for the best two, if they re looking for an option for supplementation.
