Hello, my name is Larry Lant. I’m the sales manager here in Nappannee and today
we’re going to spend a little time going through our manufacturing facility
and show you exactly how our homes are constructed.
As you can see once the house has the house wrap on
now we can install the windows
All of our windows are Anderson windows
They’re all thermo pane windows
high performance glass
The windows are clad on the exterior
so there is no need to have any maintenance whatsoever
on the exterior of the house.
The window itself is caulked into place.
Then once its caulked into place
prior installing the siding
on this house, we will
tape all of these windows
all the way around
again, to ensure of no air infiltration
on the exterior of this particular house.
the area between the window and the rough opening of the window itself
we are gonna cut strips of insulation
and pack that insulation all
all the way around that window
again, to make sure that we’re not going to get any air infiltration.
We don’t want to foam
that particular area because
because foam will have a tendency to expand
it will push the edges of the windows and make them hard
to open and close.
all of the Anderson windows are tilt wash.
So all of those windows can be tilted in.
to wash from the inside.
so you dont have to do that on the outside
on a ladder.
The exterior of all Heckaman homes are virtually
maintenance free.
you have vinyl siding
you have polystyrene shutters.
aluminum facia and soffet
even the brick mold around the doors
is now vinyl clad.
the house is ninety nine point nine percent maintenance free
All homes have two exterior receptacles.
One on the front, one on the rear of the home.
We also have frost proof spikets
on the exterior of the house.
