Hi, I'm Cindy Barber, and while I love a good read, I often find that my hands and arms
would get tired from holding up a book.
So several years ago, I came up with the idea to make reading more comfortable, and I invented this,
the Book Seat.
It holds different sized books on different angles and different positions,
and it also holds electronic readers such as your iPad.
It makes reading so much more comfortable, whether you're in bed, in your favourite chair, or anywhere.
I started selling the Book Seat at craft markets where I had a regular stall for my hand made Piñatas.
This led to local book stores and gift shops stocking the Book Seat.
It was at one of the craft markets that two European backpackers bought themselves a Book Seat each
and suggested I exhibit in Germany at the biggest book fair in the world.
I have visited the Frankfurt Book Fair several times now, and The Book Seat's European partners
are helping bring my little invention to the book lovers of Europe.
Here in The Hague, we were delighted to hear that one of our stores sold several book seats
to Her Majesty, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
We haven't yet heard of any Royal sales in the UK , but I'm sure it won't be long,
as the avid readers of Britain are quickly discovering the comfort and versatility that the Book Seat offers.
I am so grateful for all the wonderful and encouraging comments I receive from Book Seat users, around the world.
Each week I get emails from people telling me how much they love using their Book Seat
not only for books, but for e-readers and iPads as well.
So thank you to all those who love their reading, and love their Book Seats.
I no longer sell them at the craft markets, but I still have my loyal Piñata customers,
and I should get back to them.
Thank you for your interest in The Book Seat.
