ET: What's up? It's your boy E.T. Welcome to another edition of YPR Radio. Listen to
me, this is little different, alright? Girl power. This is a unique perspective. I'm not
going to steal the show. I'm going to let Amy tell you, because a lot of times you hear
about army brats, we'll we've got a verb brats in the house. Talk to us. Tell us why your
experience is so different than most young people, who are a part of the family.
Amy: Definitely, it is a little bit different perspective because my family has been in
the industry for 37 years with Vemma since the beginning. Everybody knows my brother
Brad Alkazin. It is a different perspective but I'm so blessed, so fortunate to be within
all of it with them. My dad is the wisest man I know. The biggest support system, when
he could've retired 10 years ago, 15 years ago, he doesn't because he loves people most.
He loves helping people. He loves changing lives and that was huge for me to have him
as my role model. Of course with Brad with the YPR, it's been great to see how he's changing
young people's lives. I'm in a great spot because I have an awesome support system,
it's extremely fortunate. ET: Before we call on the interviewees today,
your guests, I know that it's a little different. Amy: It is a little different. I changed it
up because this YPR Radio, I love it but there are people, 30 something OPRs who need this
just as much. It's not more. ET: Say, OYPR.
Amy: Yes, great. ET: They are young at heart.
Amy: Yes, exactly. You have a great group there, awesome people and they're doing great
things. Our first scout, Darla, she has break advanced from 0 to star executive in 90 days.
ET: Darla, are you on the line? Darla: I'm here.
ET: How are you? Darla: I am awesome.
ET: You guys are experiencing a lot of success quick. Kind of give me your story.
Darla: My story, I'm a high school dropout. I'm the youngest of 3 kids and didn't want
to college. I went to this school to be a haircut setter and worked behind the chair,
or myself behind the chair and learn this thing called leverage When I realized that
2 were better or that 4 hands were better than 2, so I hired an assistant to help me
work and I could make more money and quickly learn that 6 hands were better than 4, 8 were
better than 6, then 10 were better an 8, and so on and so forth. In over 19 years, ended
up with 49 hair dressers and built a total of 5 salons and climbed my way to the top
5% in salons in the country, with $100 for a haircut and $500 for the color and highlight
your hair, had it all going on, then the recession came and took my debt free of 3 million dollar
a year world and dump it all on top of me cause I invested in stocks and real estate
and got annihilated. In 2008 a local business man had been driving me absolutely crazy to
a look at his little home-based business to deal and I didn't want to have nothing to
do with no anomaly deal or anything like that. I did want to do one of those things and if
he happen to catch on the right day and I said I'll give you 30 minutes. I gave him
30 minutes and I thought something that made a little tiny bit of sense to me. I met a
guy that said to me Darla if you'll trust me, I'll help you buy your life back and today
that kindness way for my husband's closest friends and we have an amazing business relationship.
He's the reason actually why I'm here. Within 2 years we climbed on the top of the company
and within 3 years, made our first million dollars and built a team of over 30 thousand
people and selling love within the industry that can build more for someone's life than
winning the lottery and not kidding you. Until then...
ET: Well Darla, I'm waiting for the book. It sounds like a book, a movie or a screen
writer. Well, thank you so much. Hopefully I'll get an opportunity to meet you someday.
Darla: Thank you. ET: Take care. Josh, Katy are you there?
Katy: What's up E.T.? ET: I love it, the double power. I love it.
I'm doing great. We're running out of time but guys I just got to stop and ask you. What
is this experience been like for you? Josh: The story is we get to live an amazing
life because of this company. We've always been here about a hundred days, we ranked
advanced pretty quick. We just want people to know seriously, if you make a decision
to actually build a company here, to build that income, you really can change your life.
Katy and I wake up every morning when we want to wake up. We work when we want to work but
mostly we understand is that time freedom. She and I were going to be married in the
fall and its true blessing to spend your days with the person you love and care about the
most. I'm going to let Katy answer that. ET: Katy please.
Katy: Awesome, so the background is pretty much Josh and I have been there done that.
I have my bachelor's in marketing management and he had his master's in business, my accounting
finance and he had his own company. I worked for a bank as a supervisor for 4 years. We
incorporate, just owned it then we found that way out. It sound like world marketing and
found our passion. Man I thank you so much Amy for stepping up because I would have killed
if I have decided 23 right when I got out and first started tasting corporate because
there's nothing better than owning your own life than actually being able to see your
family on holidays when you want to see them. ET: Guys, thank you so much for what you guys
are doing for your passion, your energy. I wish the 2 of you the best life you can possibly
have and I look forward to meeting you soon. Katy: Thank you so much E.T.
ET: Alright, take care guys. Amy, our last one Scott.
Amy: Yes, you never know who your neighbor is and Brad's neighbor is Scott and Molly
Aguilar. ET: So Scott are you there?
Scott: E.T, I'm here man fired up, great to be on. Thank you.
ET: Good, talk to us man. Somebody's out there, I don't know, I have heard a lot of good things,
heard some good stories but Scott, seal the deal for us. What would you say to that individual?
Scott: Somebody's taking a look or they're even in the business, they're not engaged,
that it's like, come on, what else are you going to do. When I look at Vemma, when I
look at the big picture, I talk about the simplicity of it. The simple story people
could digest the story. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the idea of healthy
energy right? Liquid nutrition and body transformation, it's like we have a piece of the puzzle that
fits everybody so it doesn't have to be one demographic. I tell people sometimes you'll
see a group of people that are over succeeding and they're being louder than maybe some other
people, therefore a more heard. It doesn't mean that that's the only group that can succeed
it just happens to be the group that your listening to. If different pockets of people
that come from different energy, they come from different age groups. I'm big believer
in maturity is not an age, right? I deal with some busy 5 year old but they're like 12 year
old. ET: Wow, I'm stuck. I'm sorry Scott. I was
thinking of some adults in my life who are probably 14 in terms of their maturity and
went somewhere else, but yes, absolutely I believe what you're saying. It's really about
a decision, so Scott thank you so much. I wish we have more time to talk. Thank you
so much and I hope at some point to get an opportunity to meet you. Take care as I always
say make the rest of your life the best of your life Scott.
Scott: Thank you. ET: If you want to win, you want to be a part
of the winning team. Alright, everybody wants to be a part of the winning right?
Amy: Absolutely. ET: You want to be a part of winning team?
This is a winning team guys. They're people who are not just talking about it. The results,
they're fact. I always say, you do need a chance, you need time to do your investigation,
do your research but then afterwards if it's go then you got to go get it.
Amy: Hey, research is proven. BK is great so...
ET: I'll second that. Amy: Yes he is.
ET: Make your move, make your decision. Remember if it was easy everybody would do it, but
we know that it's proven that without struggle there is no progress, there's no success,
so join the team and again make the rest of your life the best of your life. Once again
this is your boy E.T. Thank you for tuning in to another edition of YPR Radio and I'll
see you when I see you.
