MELANIE HAMILTON: Google's approach to social is really
social not being a destination but a core human behavior.
And so at Google, we really want to knit social into the
fabric of all of our products, as we roll out Google+ over
the next several months, even years to come.
For businesses, businesses really want to connect with
their customers, like they would do face to face, but
also online.
And so with Google+, businesses will have the
ability to have an identity on Google+ and really be able to
segment and speak to their customers in new and
meaningful ways.
A client will really look to use Google+ to segment their
audiences a little bit differently so they can have a
nuanced communication depending on the audience.
So if they want to speak to tweens, they might say, OMG,
we have this great new product.
If they want to speak to working moms, it might have a
different tone and approach.
