This is Lynne Deese with the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program. I wanted to
show you today the Perkins APH Brailler. This new portable unit is very light weight, has
an easy grip handle to carry from place to place. It has a smaller footprint and is much
quieter than the previous model. It even has a muted bell. It requires less for when keying
and the keys themselves are closer to the tabletop making it easier to access. It has
a built-in eraser function. When resting over the braille cell you press firmly to flatten
it. It also now has a flat reading rest for your braille product. The margin guides are
much easier to grasp and the feeder knobs are flat. It comes in midnight blue and raspberry.
