You're watching The Late Shift, on Channel 4.
With a bit of luck, we'll hopefully bring you the details of Baby Lawrence,
the jazz-dancing hoofer.
A few problems in obtaining Baby Lawrence to do his act,
The Late Shift, you are watching, due to start on its new regular slot of Tuesday nights,
but it's having second thoughts about it, obviously.
If you'll bear with us, at this late hour of the evening, we'll attempt to bring you
two items on The Late Shift,
they are Baby Lawrence, who is the man who is well in tune with jazz, simply by moving
his feet.
The man who has had a bebop dance style, and taught many.
And after that, with any luck - keep your fingers crossed - round about 20 minutes to
2 o'clock
we'll take a look at "After Hours", what happens in the jazz clubs of New York,
a vintage jazz film which features performances by Coleman Hawkins, Roy Eldridge,
Milt Hinton, and Kelsey Cole, not forgetting the vocalist Carol Stebbins.
So, as I say, keep your fingers crossed.
You never know what might happen -
I certainly don't.
